The Dropsafe Safety Sling range offers a high standard of secondary securing for fixtures located at height.
The Dropsafe Slings are made of SUS 316 stainless steel, and are specifically designed for use in harsh environments whilst offering exceptional performance and durability.
Tested and certified to over 5X the Safe Working Load, the Dropsafe Slings provide an effective way to increase work site safety. They boast a range of specific features, including the Trisafe™ Carabiner, double ferrules at each end, and an ID tag for increased traceability.
The Dropsafe Padlock features an integrated securing cable and carabiner which enables it to be tethered to a secure structure. This prevents the Padlock from becoming a dropped object hazard when being placed or temporarily stored on walkways and beams at height.
It is recommended to only use securing cables for fixtures where the manufacturer has built in attachment points specifically designed for secondary securing. Furthermore, due to dynamic load risk, the fixture manufacturer’s secondary attachment points must be able to withstand 5 times the Safe Working Load (SWL).
Collating the latest data on Dropped Object incidents, Dropsafe’s white paper, The Neglected Hazard: A guide to Dropped Object risks in offshore wind shows that Dropped Objects are an ever-present, increasing threat to safe and cost-effective project development and operations in offshore wind.
