The Norwegian Society of Lifting Technology (NSLT) together with the Offshore Mechanical Handling Equipment Committee (OMHEC) are proud to announce this year’s International Offshore Cranes & Lifting Conference.
The conference alternates between the “oil capitals” of Norway and Scotland – Stavanger and Aberdeen, home for regulators, the major duty holders, oil and gas contractors and service companies. The 2016 event will take place on April 19th – 21st, Aberdeen Exhibition & Conference Centre, Aberdeen, UK.
The conference will cover a wide range of new topics in offshore cranes and lifting technology, subsea and heavy lifting, personnel transfer, maintenance and inspection, crane standardisation as well as regulatory and industry safety initiatives.
Dropped objects from cranes are one of the major risks on offshore installations and the final session of the event focuses on dropped objects. The session outlines two aspects of dropped object risks; dropped object frequencies, consequence modelling of dropped objects to sea.
Dropsafe Nets are the standard in the onshore and offshore Oil and Gas Sectors for securing and tethering overhead fixtures. Visit the Dropsafe booth at Booth 3 to view our dropped objects prevention products and learn more about how to ensure safe lifting operations.
