Dropsafe Nets installed on Drops Training Simulator

Dropsafe patented technology is the standard in the onshore and offshore Oil and Gas Sectors for securing and tethering overhead fixtures. Dropsafe collaborated with K2 to equip the K2 DROPS Training Simulator with Dropsafe Nets.

The K2 DROPs Training Simulator is a first of its kind transportable self-contained training container that gives trainees hands-on experience in an expertly designed environment and is an effective way to deliver training on-site.  IADC accredited K2 DROPS training course highlights the causes, prevention & mitigations of dropped objects in the oil and gas industry and has been utilised globally by drilling contractors and producers such as Shell.

Dropsafe are in full support of any activity that raises awareness of dropped objects and felt collaboration with K2 would be an excellent opportunity for trainees to receive instruction on the correct installation of Dropsafe products.

Eden Cantre, Global Business Development Manager for Dropsafe said “dropped objects are a major cause of fatalities, injuries and lost time in the Oil and Gas Industry globally. Being the industry standard in dropped objects prevention it made sense for the K2 simulator to be fitted with Dropsafe Nets”
