Technical Training Manager


Dropsafe is an industry leading innovation driven safety brand which has a global presence with headquarters in Hong Kong.  We provide application specific high performing DROP’s prevention safety technologies to the Oil & Gas, Maritime, Resource and Industrial sectors.

The Technical Training Manager will further develop and run the brands product training platform that supports internal staff, customers and 3rd party product installation partners globally. The position works with a cross-functional and proactive customer focused team that provides a high level of channel partner and end user support. The role ensures the brands products are fully supported in the selection and installation process, delivering industry leading customer satisfaction. The role manages the company’s on-line training platform, hands on training and knowledge testing, as well as facility site visits to assist in the support and installation of the Dropsafe products. This roles requires frequent travel and at times will be physically demanding, the candidate must be physically fit and able.


  1. Manage the development and updates of soft and hard copy training materials for all product categories to ensure correct product selection and installation
  2. Conduct robust testing and validation with internal and external stake holders and partners of all training materials before being formalised and published
  3. Mange the company training platform with up to date materials for each product category
  4. Manage all Dropsafe training with customers, end users and 3rd party installation partners
  5. Manage data base of channel partner and 3rd party installation partner personnel that are current in training to ensure end users only use certified personnel for product installations
  6. Manage annual and product update training and knowledge testing for all certified personnel on the training database
  7. In each key Oil and Gas and mining regions globally maintain at least 3 installation partners with up to date training for all product categories
  8. Support sales team to ensure they have access to current installation partner database, so they can provide installation partner options to channel partners and end users
  9. Support CS with customer enquiries
  10. Maintain a key internal partner that can manage your role if you are travelling or on leave
  11. Maintain up to date standard operating procedures for all your department procedures

Travel required to key locations globally for the following

  1. In country onsite theoretical, hands on training and knowledge testing of channel partner, end user and installation partner personnel
  2. Attend and support facility-based product installation projects with end users and installation partners
  3. Visit clients independently or with sales team for sales visits to present new and existing products


  1. Minimum 5 years in the Oil and Gas or similar industry
  2. Experience in NDT or facility inspections, or a closely related field
  3. Appropriate training and tickets to get on to offshore facilities
  4. Rope access experience an advantage
  5. Excellent written and spoken English and communication skills
  6. Strong technical back ground
  7. Strong IT / systems knowledge
  8. Strong knowledge in HSE
  9. Experience in theoretical and hands on training and post training testing
  10. Frequent global travel
  11. MUST be physically fit and able
